Check PC Security With Kaspersky Scan

Harris Interactive survey that conducted for consumers globally in March 2012 showed that 15 percent of Windows PC owners do not use any software for their digital assets. 

At the same time, 60 percent of users concerned about the confidentiality of their financial data and 80 percent had experienced security threats at least once. 

To overcome this problem, Kaspersky introduces a new device for detecting the status of computer security. Kaspersky Security Scan, that is the name, it is specifically intended for users who do not use antivirus solution or are still unsure with the common security software.

Kaspersky Security Scan is very easily to installed and removed. These devices can also work in conjunction with other antivirus solutions. If Kaspersky Security Scan found the problem, the user will be given advice on a full-scale protection solutions that fit like Kaspersky Antivirus, Kaspersky Internet Security or Kaspersky PURE. 

Nikolay Grebennikov (Chief Technology Officer, Kaspersky Lab) said that a desktop personal computer or mobile device are still be the primary communication device by most consumers. Whereas, in reality millions of PC users around the world have a weak or no protection to use any security software. 

"Kaspersky Security Scan is the great solution for such devices. By checking the security status of PC users, this tool will inform them if there are threats found and help users to get the real time appropriate protection solutions from Kaspersky Lab, "said Nikolay. 

Kaspersky Security Scan is a small device, which is optimized for quick installation with no additional questions and reboot. By default, the system automatically scan performed three times a week, twice in background mode. However, these settings can be modified by the user. It also allows for either a quick scan or a whole system scan. 

Once the scan is done, users will receive a report that displays a security threat were detected in some categories. Users are also will be given advice on security solutions available from Kaspersky Lab, which will help repair an infected system and provide more protection. 

Although Kaspersky Security Scan can be used to detect the majority of malicious programs, but these devices are not designed to provide complete protection system and detect some complex malware, like rootkits and bootkits.
