In 2012, Android Malware Getting Rampant

Android sales increased, so does the number of its malware, in a past 2011, there are so many observer industry said that last year was the emergence of mobile malware. This means, it could be a real threat for mobile device users at the year 2012.
By increasingly widespread gadgets of android, makes rogue developers want to deploy their malware to make profits for them self.

Recently, the symantec security vendor was created a blog (can be viewed here: http://www.symantec.com/connect/blogs/more-fraudware-headaches-android-marketplace) regarding of new fake application called android steek and the worse thing is that this appalication is available in official site of android market.

Then symantec found a new mobile malware attempting to exploit the fears of other android users regarding the controversies of IQ carrier (can be seen here: http://www.symantec.com/connect/blogs/day-after-year-mobile- malware).

Android.Qicsomos malware is disguised as an Carrier IQ eraser tool, so its possible to deceive the users to download this malware. These attacks targeting to smart phone users in France with the scheme of sending text using hidden premium numbers.

It is not stop there, the malware author has also found the ways to get around the android application authorization model in certain situations. The threat was marked by a certificate issued as part of the Android Open Source Project (AOSP), completely seem like a normal application.

This enables the application to installed on particular device without having to go through the usual notice screen of licensing which usually be the main defense mechanism to face dangerous applications. So my advice to you who use android, be carefull if you wanna downlaod and install application because eventhough a trusted certificate it is still could deceive us.
