Google+ Users Reached 62 Million

Google+ seems becoming a serious competitor for Facebook. This has proven with the data reported that the number of Google+ users has reached about 62 million at the end of 2011.

This data was released by Paul Allen, a statistics expert observer of social networking. Allen himself has indeed been following the development of Google+ since it first launched. According to data, in July 2011 the number of register reaches 10 million people. Continues in August reached double that, about 20.5 million users.

The drastic increasing occurred in December, commencing from January 1 to 27 were recorded from 50 million to 62 million users, which means nearly a quarter of the total in that month.

Allen explained this is possible because of the holiday season arrives, advertisements from various media, the discussion of the various forums and by word of mouth, or a combination of all. "After all it is undeniable that it has increased dramatically in recent weeks," Allen said.

If this condition can be maintained, it could be in 2012, Google+ users will reach 100 million users in February 2012.

Unfortunatelly this data obtained unofficially, A.K.A based only on Allen calculations. And these results are calculated based on the number of users who have registered, and did not see whether the user is active or not.

Meanwhile Google did not give any comment on this data, and officialy google disclose its own data through its CEO Larry Page, he says that Google+ users is only about 40 million people until now.
