Microsoft Offers Web App Office Trial

Microsoft launches preview of his program for Microsoft office web application, first step of the long way to release the web version of word, excel and PowerPoint.
From now on, amount of limited invitations for consumer can try this application, application which designed to compete Google Apps and another on line software. Invitations received from Windows Live SkyDrive services. Formally Microsoft released this application on Juli at Worldwide Partner Conference in New Orleans. At that time, Microsoft said that this software will entering the preview phase on September, a beta phase in the end of year, and officially can be used on beginning of 2010.

“First preview of it in order to collect conceptions from consumer for official release. After that Microsoft will continue to developing Office Web Apps, providing beta version and release it next year, and frequently develops this services based on consumer conceptions” said Michael Schultz, Marketing Director of Microsoft Office Services, in question and answer session on Microsoft website.

Microsoft said that consumer can try this beta version at microsoft.com/Office 2010.

Not included on preview is OneNote Web App, next version will be integrated with Microsoft Office 2010 software for computer desktop. After official release next year, Office Web Apps will be offered in 3 ways: to Windows Live users, Microsoft Office 2010 users, and Microsoft Online Services. Microsoft intends to provide an Office Web Apps available for PC and Mac and supporting IE, Firefox, and Safari.
